Information about submitting a site to this directory
|
First: We are very picky! This is a human edited directory. Some of these sites we have handpicked and others have been suggested to us.
Second: We are a bit different. We are trying to provide a set of unique resources to the education community - especially homeschool families.
Third: We are especially looking for sites that provide something different and of value to our audience. We welcome new sites and do not care about your page rank - if you have a good site, we trust that others will find you. If you have a good site, we want to help others find you.
Fourth: This directory is a service of yourStudentNews.com.
Fifth: We do not charge for listings in this directory. We do have a little of our own advertising here and there and appreciate any support you may give us.
Here is how your site can be added:
1) If you are submitting a link to a site you own: Link to us! We provide a number of site "badges" for you to add to your site. If you don't want the graphic, OK - just link to http://www.yourStudentNews.com. Yes, we do check. If you are recommending a site that you have no affiliation with, no link back is required.
2) Click on the Suggest a Site at the bottom of any page and follow the directions.
3) We will let you know after we have reviewed and accepted or rejected your site. Please do not be offended if we do not accept your site. Like we said earlier, we are very picky.
4) You can also place a RATE MY SITE button on your site to improve your listing here.
We are especially interested in supporting homeschool family owned businesses!
Sites that we will not accept:
1) Sites that are not relevant to homeschool families or otherwise of interest to the education community.
2) Sites that have nothing new to offer.
3) Sites that contain more than 1/3 advertising. If your site is cluttered up with Google Ads and Amazon Ads and Affiliate Links - don't bother.
4) Sites that are not complete, have broken links, have not been updated in a long time.
5) Sites that use popup, popunder or other invasive techniques.
6) Your site should have a family friendly privacy policy such as ours.
Commercial sites are OK as long as you are offering your own original products or services and not just affiliate marketing links.
Some advertising on your site is OK. To get an idea, look around our site. We have advertisements in only two places - one being this directory (which is neatly organized with the advertisements surrounding the real material). Excluding promotion of our own products and services, and other than this directory, we have only 1 page that contains any advertising whatsoever.
OUR PRIVACY POLICY:
We hate spam, spyware, popup ads and other such invasive techniques and will never use them in our sites or software. We will never give, sell or trade your personal information to any third party except under court order.
